Scoring & awards

Total contribution = Site #1 + World #1 + Proof points + Special-contribution points. Holding both Site #1 and a certified World #1 on the same sub-problem earns 4 points.

Rules v3 (2026-10-04): frozen problems take no new submissions, so their records remain in the history with full attribution but no longer score points. Since v2, record points are titled Site #1 and breakthrough bonus points are titled World #1, applying to current eligible holders rather than stacking permanently. Proof points, special points, and settled weekly honours are unchanged.

Site #1+1

Each non-trivial current site record earns 1 point. When a site record is beaten internally, the point transfers to the new holder; external literature updates do not affect this point. Frozen problems do not score.

Proof points+2

An adopted, reviewed optimality proof or key bound argument earns a permanent award per contributor and proof result. Extensions of the same argument across multiple n, supplements, or rewrites do not earn extra points.

World #1+3

Holding the current site record with your own certified breakthrough earns an additional +3 points. A strictly better internal or external construction removes the bonus; regaining an eligible lead restores it without stacking. External adoption of your result or differences within a source's rounding interval do not count as defeat. Historical certifications remain on record.

Significant bug reports, benchmark data corrections, and other special contributions receive individually reviewed, permanent awards.
